Hey guys,

I was thinking that I could use it to wrap the exhaust manifold to insulate the heat - kinda like the Track Dog heat shield.

Do you guys reckon that it would work? Or is it just a waste of time, money and effort?

I would suggest not. It looks more like the stuff you glue to a panel to insulate it.

but should be good if you use in a double layer. it cost less than 10?. you can try to experiment and report it to us

Yeah I think that I might give it a shot... TD costs over 100 bucks plus delivery, vat and import duty so not really happening. I will let you guys know!

I bet your manifold gets hotter than its rated 500f direct contact..

True that but if I use the stock heat shield and insulate it even more with this, it should be ok. Plus I?ll try to arrange the blanket so it will prevent all of the possible heat from coming to the air filter.
