I need a new mirror and fancied doing something a little different.

I wouldn't say it was different, it has been done to death....

Plus you would most probably have to drill new holes and have your old holes remaining.

Also I have read visibility is nonexistent. I should imagine they vibrate to fuck too

And they are not carbon, and don't look much like carbon... if you are going to do it, at least get real ones, not much more expensive if you get Ultralite ones or similar.
