I got a second hand throttle cable, took the threaded end off it and put it onto the newly trimmed long cable so it actually has threads on both ends

An MX5 throttle cable appears to have a threaded end, to be attached to the throttle, and a non threaded end, to be attached to the accelerator pedal.
From Nutz photographs of dual throttle body installations it appears that the threaded end of the second throttle cable is attached to the OEM throttle. How is the other end of this second throttle cable attached to the pre charger throttle?
We've been supplied with a bracket which fixes to the side of the charger and to which the threaded end of a cable would be fixed if that cable were coming direct from the accelerator pedal, but we are going to have the unthreaded end of the second cable where this bracket is.......so how do we fix the cable?
