I need a quote for sending a couple of large items, I'm sure I used a comany called Lynx before, but can't seem to find their website (which had more or less set prices for car wheels with/without tyres, exhausts etc etc..)

anyone have a lin to a good/reliabe/cheap couriers nationwide?

I have used Paisley freight a lot, but over the past few weeks they seem to have missed a few target dates

Parcels2go are supposed to be good.
Beat me to it, yep I'd suggest them or try Googling 'cheap courier' and calculate the cost.
Interparcel - much cheaper than the others mentioned (I used to use both of them)
Shiply - reverse auction so the longer you wait the cheaper the price gets often with companies offering cheaper and cheaper prices to get your business.

One word of warning, just as on eBay you need to read the feedback before deciding which bid you want to accept.

One the plus side if you type in the eBay item number it will automatically load all the pictures, the sellers / buyers address details etc for you. Minimises the contact you have to have with the other party.

Interparcel won. they were cheaper than everyone else, thanks for the top tip.
Bear in mind most of the big firms using trunk vehicles have cage limit sizes of 5 ft, so if larger, parcel will go on trunk loose, and most claims for damaged items are uncageable items.

lots of courier services sell surplus capacity on eBay..
Thanks, I used Interparcel in the end:thumb-up:
parcelmonkey.co.uk are cheap aswell for future reference.

Sent a snowboard for 8 quid.
Interparcel but avoid the hermes option, pay an extra couple to go wioth DHL.

Hermes drivers are paid peanuts per delivery and will drop packages in garages and porches etc.

at least with DHL et al you can always rearrange easily.
You wont find Lynx anymore, they were bought out by UPS. Interparcel economy is the cheapest way. It says on the website 1-2 days but UPS treat it as a standard next day, or at least they do in the Exeter depot anyway.

Make sure they don't palm you off with Home Delivery Network - They are crap. Pay the little extra to get DHL through parcel2go.
