General info:
Parts have been professionally machined from aircraft-grade aluminium alloy with excellent corrosion resistance. More info about reroute purpose can be found here: http://coolant-reroute.com/ and in this topic: https://www.mx5nutz.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=89997

Few hints and tips:
- installation requires you to move the charcoal canister a few centimetres aside, or you can remove it altogether - the removal is very easy and there are many guides available online

- in case you have EGR system on your car, you will need to delete the EGR (I have the blanking kit for ÂŁ15) or modify the EGR pipe
- install the thermostat with weep hole facing the top (upwards)
- for VVT engines (Sportive) use a non-VVT head gasket
- don't delete the heater core as it's wise to keep the coolant flowing, unless it's a track car

Basic kit - ÂŁ89

A.) For engines with fan switch in front of the engine (1.6 NA - http://diy.icydesigns.com/i/368-p2.jpg)
B.) For engines without fan switch in front of the engine (all except 1.6 NA)
C.) WIth core plug (regardless of the engine), if you want to freeze plug the outlet - parts needed are included

Spacer options (included in the price):
1.) Standard (stock heater, stock gauge)

2.) Standard with 1/8" NPT thread for additonal temperature gauge

3.) Heater delete (no coolant outlet for heater hose) and 1/8" NPT thread

Hose: Gates 22436 rubber hose for ÂŁ29 or you can design your own hose connection (e.g. if you want silicone hoses).

Housing: you can use a 1.6 NA housing or get housing from me - used for ÂŁ15 or new Kia for ÂŁ22 (1.8 NA/NB and 1.6 NB housings cannot be used).

Thermostat: you can keep yours or replace with a high flow stainless steel thermostat for £12, either 88°C (OEM) or 82°C

Prices include delivery to virtually anywhere. Payment via Faster payments, BACS, Paypal, Transferwise or SEPA transfer in EUR. Please note it does not include fees (in case of Paypal). Delivery usually takes 4-6 working days (UK and EU).

How to order: PM me with the kit you want and I will send you payment details.

Feel free to ask if you have any questions.

Important: I noticed some people have the parcel tracking stuck in "Inward office of exchange" for days or even weeks, even though some of them already received it. My post office says the tracking in foreign country is out of their control, so I can't really do anything about it.

I want to avoid any issues which might make you unsatisfied, so I decided to post each package as 1st class mail, hopefully this will help. The parcel should be delivered to you in 4-6 days for continental Europe and in 6-8 days for UK. If you haven't received the kit within 14 days, please let me know and I will ask Slovak post office to investigate. Thanks for understanding.

Hey whisper,

Your first post says new kits should be available tomorrow, how certain are you about that? I've got the engine out, so it'd be a lot easier to put the spacer on now! So if you can send out this week I'll keep the engine out, but if it's gonna be a week or more I will carry on with installing my engine!

Cheers dude!

BTW the tracking seems to stop when it leaves Slovakia...
Not true for every parcel: to UK - http://tandt.posta.sk/en/items/RP246682310SK, to Netherlands - http://tandt.posta.sk/en/items/RP246682306SK. But it's a mystery for me (and Slovak post office) why this happens... I believe everyone received the kit regardless of what the tracking says.

Shadgrind:

Generally to save your 4th cylinder from premature/excessive wear due to higher temperatures. Especially if you like driving in red line or you have forced induction this helps to cool the engine much more evenly.

Any one fitted there's yet? I went to do it yesterday but the sandwich plate doesn't line up? The 2 holes won't line up as the bottom of the sandwich plate fowls the top of gearbox so you can't twist it enough to line the holes up!

Modifications need to be made to the sandwich plate! Time to get the file/grinder out!

That's strange, do you have engine out, so you can take some photos? I have the exact same setup as I'm selling on my own car (1.6 NA) and I also sold about 20 of them in past two months, but no one reported any issues.

In case anyone experiences any issues with fitment, please be so kind and let me know so I can adjust the product and/or compensate you if the issue is not minor. Also the alloy from which the kits are made is very durable, so you can grind or cut lots from it without a worry.

Mines a mk2 1.8 with a mk1 1.8 gearbox in a mk1 if that makes a difference.

I have it fitted now just needs to flatten off the bottom a tiny amount. Just trying to work out how to pipe it now. Have had to abandon due to heavy rain :/

Guys, one of you talks about metric 16 mm plug, the other one about G 1/2" plug... Just saying

Btw. plug for the hole on thermostat housing is included in the kit!
Whisper, are you saying by ordering off that link I have just ordered the wrong part?

I don't have a full kit sadly... Just the spacer. Hence I'm desperate to sort the missing parts including a blanking plate.
