Catalytic Converter Question

Hi, I have a 1990 Eunos Roadster Import. Can anyone tell me if it has a catalytic converter as standard.

Also, If the cat is replaced by a link pipe would it make the car any noisier?

Thanks

Their own comments...It is the buyers responsibility to ensure compliance with MOT regulations. We sell this part as being for 'Off Road Use Only'.

Even though this is a 'silenced' bypass pipe, the removal of the catalytic convertor WILL result in an increase in exhaust noise! Some like it, others do not. Beware!

Thanks mate, I will leave it as it is until it comes up for replacement. Then I'll swap it over for the link pipe as it'll be a lot cheaper than getting another Cat and it should be legal as the car is a 1990 model.

ive got one of those fitted to my '91 eunos,

like said MOT no probs, since pre '92 for emissions,

noise wise, i have the IL motorsports twin box, the silenced de cat just gave it a raspy tone, nothing in ya face though,
cheers mate, the reason I ask is because my last car (Renault Clio Sport 172) was a noisy car and it became very annoying on long journeys due to the boomy engine note.

I didn't used to mind the engine note on my old Impreza Turbo though with a full decat. That wasn't boomy, instead it just sounded amazing
