Just been watching some of the practice sessions on the BBC website. The McLarens are looking pretty quick (running on fumes perhaps?) and Schumacher is on the pace too, but we haven't seen much of Ferrari and Red Bull yet as they seem to be running high fuel loads. I hope they don't turn up to qualifying over a second faster than everyone else!

On a side note, it seems Virgin Racing have come to realise their car's fuel tank is actually too small to see them to the end of a Grand Prix. They've been granted special permission by the FIA to run with a cut and shut bodged together car while they re-work their entire chassis http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/8588379.stm
It's all very well allowing new teams to join, but only if they are properly prepared

First a wing drops off, and now they don't have enough fuel to finish a journey. well no doubt the Button haterz will be along sometime but I fail to see how you can knock the lad for his driving. He made it look utterly effortless today and to be that quick while being so gentle on the car is true skill. Smart to come in when he did as well. Lewis chucking the toys oot the pram as well made it all the more enjoyable for me

Well, I reckon that one was worth getting up early for.
Yeah, Jenson rolled the dice with his tyre stop and his luck was in, but he still did an awesome job wringing all the available advantage out of his very short stint as the only guy on the right tyres. Felt sorry for Lewis - the whole world got to listen to him on the pit radio as the penny dropped that he'd stopped for tyres and the guys in front of him didn't have to... I actually cringed for him. Felt sorry for Webber too, but that was absolutely his own fault. Making your own luck? Yeah, I reckon so.
