1600Cc Rear Caliper Carriers

262 Views 8 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  Alan_Tigger
Ive decided to swap my 1800cc discs and pads DOWN from 1800cc to 1600cc having bought an entire grooved/drilled brake kit only to find my car had already been converted to 1800cc.

Does anyone have 1600cc Carriers at home looking rid?

ill be removing brand new pads, used 1800cc discs and 1800cc caliper carriers if they are of use to anyone maybe wanting to move up in size

Are you just doing the rears? or thinking about doing fronts in the future?
where are you?
Wee T was able to swap my fronts out in exchange for a set of 1600cc carriers he already had in his garage, just im stumped on the rear - I figured people would already have some about from upgrading to 1800cc carriers?

im based in Co. Antrim, N.ireland

I've got a set on my car, but want to swap full set at same time, hence the front question

Don't want to swap the rears without the fronts tho

How come you are swapping back? going for teeny wheels?

Nice

I've been tempted to drop from my 15" to 14", not sure i'm hardcore enough for 13"
main reason being i want to turbo/super in the future, so wanna go bigger discs really

im running a T28 turbo at the mo, but drie it like a pussy on the roads, and only really compete in drag locally, so braking isnt a massive concern to me, if im honest I havnt noticed any appreciable difference since dropping from 1800 fronts to grooved 1600s with ebc's.
I understand the difference in stopping something with a larger diameter being easier, but just dont think my driving style/ability, could max a set out?
