hi after some help , i have a original 1.8 r limited with only 30,000 miles, i kept my me221and cops kit from my old turbo car , is it worth fitting ecu and cops without any forced induction , i am a novice at this so be gentle. thanks

think you can get some gains from the me221 and a tune on a standard engine, better if you do some breathing mods so would be worth it, depends what how far you want to go

buy an NBFL flat top intake manifold, an NBFL exhaust manifold and then get a remote tune. You should be able to see some decent gains in acceleration and top end for sure.

NB inlet manifold won't work on an NA head. The ports don't line up.

Adding an NB head would let that idea work of course but may be more modification than jace600 is looking for.

The NB 1.8 kept the same manifold bolt patterns as the NA 1.8 but (on the inlet side only) the ports were moved up by something like an inch. That changed the angle that the port meets the valve and seems to be a significant contribution to the +10hp the NB has over the NA.

Hi you will get noticable drivability gains just by installing and tuning the ME221 Not sure how much the COPS will help though.
I ran my RS with and ME221 for a year before I went to ITBs
You get it tuned to the engine not just a generic factory tune.
