Ok, we've got our Dynapack up and running and we have a completely 'stock in a box' 1.6 NA test mule that, over time we are going to fully modify and show the dyno plots on our website but we thought we would 'throw suggestions open to the floor'.

So.........what would you like us to try and test and post results here when we do them. We will try to cover all reasonable sugestions and hopeful it will confirm or refute some of the well known myths regarding these cars.

We will start the list with:

(1) Ignition timing mod

Over clocked ECU.

Intake/manifold/exhaust (all together or separate)

Gutted CAT

De CAT

Silenced de CAT

Oh, removal of the helmhotz chamber!

Cowel induction - tho I dunno if you can replicate speed on a dyno, these tend to work best above 30 MPH in my butt dyno experience.

Can't think of any more.

De Cat pipe on Order.

We have xtals in stock for the ECU

We can't obviously afford to test everything (would cost a fortune to buy just for testing) but if someone wished to donate a part for a short time we would be happy to do that.

BLiNK AFM will be tested.

So the list so far is:

Timing Mod
De Cat
Clocked ECU
BLiNK AFM
Helmholtz removal

We have a cone filter but don't feel we could represent the cowl feed accurately on the dyno - we could leave bonet open to simulate cold air feed to it though - would that be helpful to people??

How about a head skim of around 25 thou with cams left alone, then with cam timing set with verniers, back to stock.

or just playing around with verniers, intake from -6º to +6º in 2º or 3º steps and also the same with the exhaust cam.

Yeap - got some Verniers in a draw:

Timing Mod
De Cat
Clocked ECU
BLiNK AFM
Helmholtz Removal
Cam Timing
BLiNK Cylinder Head

Exintake mod.
This is a 1.6 so Exhintake mod does not apply....

How about a direct comparison between its injectors, then a matched (Blink `optimised`) set?
Might be interesting to see if the emissions figures are improved too?

Defiantly keeping an eye on this thread

Shorter exhaust vs the standard one?

(Basically, I mean as the standard backbox sits under the whole boot and exits at the drivers side, would there be a difference making it shorter so it exits on the passenger side? If that makes sense
)

The Jackson racing induction airbox would be interesting, arc chamber, tsi's, headlight vents, bonnet vents.
The cowl Induction had got me wondering how exactly gruppe m tested their civic induction kit as unless you have a dyno in a wind tunnel you can't recreate on the road conditions unless they whacked on a leaf blower?

Some really good suggestions people - we managed to do a few tests today but then other work that must be done took over!

Remember when you were a kid and adults said 'there isn't enough hours in a day' and you laughed - well we can confirm that it's true! We will post results ASAP.
