Hello guys. Im new to the forum. I was searching all over the place for this type of swap and couldnt find anything complete.
So my car is an nbfl 2002 1.6L mk2.5 European model.
After 160k km and some engine issues i desided to swap my engine with a 1.8L vvt mk2.5 engine.
I already got the...
My NB '98 had engine swap 1.6 (B6MM) to 1.8 (BP4W) but previous owner does not swap ECU and loom (just en engine). I bought BP5Z ECU kit (key, immobiliser, etc) and ECU, immobiliser and new key was fit I switch key to first position and heard VICS valve switching (never before at B6MM...
I never had a patience to write a build thread, but since i have more planned for this car i could try to write it from now :P
So lets start with a lot of pictures from day i bought the car till now.

After trawling through old threads in this forum for weeks, as well as circuit diagrams from various different makes and models, I've just sussed out a way to wire up NB2 Headlights in to an NB1 and have the low beams stay on when the high beams are activated, AS WELL as retain a...
I am looking to get hold of some 20mm hubcentric spacers (a set of four) to trade with my 25mm spacers.
The spacers I have are Hubcentric 4x100 25mm, and have been used for less than a mile (they make my tires rub really bad)
Looking for a straight swap for 20mm spacers
Hi I'm fairly new to 5 ownership, I picked up a 99 1.8 mk2 in November last year as a weekend toy. Not done many miles in it and the bottom end has gone
So I've managed to get a mk2.5 bottom end as I've been advised its much stronger and I'm looking at doing the swap myself (well with...
Quick and not so simple......
Will a 1995 JDM Mk1 1.8 Exhaust fit onto my 1996 UK Mk1 1.8???
Its manifold back... can you just swap over the complete system manifold back? Or are they routed differently??
Anyone ever done this???
As title really. Looking to downgrade a bit, as I don't really need something this extreme anymore.
It's a complete half-cage with the door bars, and padding. It even comes with the Harness bar, which a lot of them don't come with.
This is a proper half cage, and a very very nice bit of kit...
I have just picked up a set of heated leather seats with switches (also got centre console and door cards) and I am wondering if the wiring for the seats is already installed.
I have a 2010 MK3 and the seats are from a 2013 MK3.
Thanks in advance.
I had an MX5 last year, sold it, and curiosity of owning a Lexus LS400 V8 got the better of me.
I'm now looking to get another MX5, so really a direct swap with no money changing hands would be the easiest option.
Of course this means someone wanting a Lexus that owns an MX5 really cuts...
I'm not sure if it's a good deal or not. But the guy wants an MX5 + £700 for his VTi EG6 Civic (With SiR II body kit / other mods).
His has done 150,000 miles, and apparently has had a recent rebuild. It's a B16A1 engine. The body panels from pictures look good (but, everything in pictures look...
Just an idea!!
Love my WedsSport alloys.. Spent a weekend refurbing then in white and giving them some much needed TLC! Here's my thread showing what they came from and what they are now; http://www.mx5nutz.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=131787&hl=%2Bdiy+%2Bwheel+%2Brefurb
Trying to find a cheap runabout as I want to do a bit of work and shield the MK1 from the elements a bit this winter.
Something small with a small engine and cheap to tax would be great, anything considered.
Also have a Carbon wrapped MK2 that I am going to put up for sale...
Just wondering if anyone would like to swap their black heated leather plus Nardi 3 spoke airbag wheel for my sienna brown heated leather plus matching Nardi 3 spoke airbag wheel ? Mine is in excellent condition from a 2002 1.8 Phoenix edition mk2.5, its done 62k miles and has been well looked...
... is what my girlfriend called me when I started laying out plans for the mx-5 on the weekend.
She was intending on going down the turbo route when she owned the car, but she decided she wanted my Celica 190 t-sport, so she had it, and I have the mx-5...
The thing is, I loved the noise the...
Following on from my original post, link below, I have decided that a Celica VVTi-L engine will find it's way under the bonnet of my mk2 mx5
1. It sounds amazing!
2. It's a complete one off!
3. Extra power.
4. More reliable (the Mrs didn't service the mx5 in 3 years of...
