Finally time for the MOT and I need to fix my front nearside indicator which stopped working late last year (she's been off the road since then). This is a 1997 MK1.
The bulb is fine, and the light unit itself is also fine (I swapped it over to the other side and it all works as...
The DRLs not only look cool, but will save your headlight motors and alternator from excessive wear. It has a 100% stock look, is simple to install and requires no special skills or hardware. A true bolt-on, worry-free installation!
First position on lights stalk turns DRL on...
Want a cheap pair of front and rears for my nb which was 'fly-eyed' by the previous owner, and personally i think looks a bit naff. I don't mind if they are a little cloudy or have the inner painted black etc
Must fit an nb1, and be cheap! (student budget and all)
Located in in the West...
I'm looking for a way to dim my boost gauge and oil temp gauge so that when I turn the headlights on, the gauges dim.
I've got the brightness set so I can see them in the day with the roof down but it's like Blackpool illuminations at night!
I really don't want an additional switch that I have...
I really like the gauge sets here: http://revlimiter.net/store/gauges-gt40nb.php but I'm no so keen on the £122 price tag - does anyone know a good place to buy similar gauge sets for a bit cheaper? I've found a few on eBay but I'm not sure on the quality/looks.
I have a 1996 Mk1 MX5 and my headlights are being a bit strange, at first I thought it was a bulb going so I replaced them both.
But even after that the passenger side light is still dim as if the sidelights are on? but the other side is a normal headlight, main beam works fine.
I have had...
HEy, i'm having a problem with my full beam and Flash to pass, it doesn't seem to work.
I've fitted new bulbs presuming that was the issue. Nope still wont go onto full beam. i've checked all the Fuses, all are intact, i even had a ganders at the Stalk, but have no idea what it is i'm looking...

If been wondering about this for a while now and have never come across a mx5 with recessed lights like the rx7's. Ive found a couple pics on the old interweb but never any first hand experience.
Has anyone seen one or have them?
What are peoples reaction to them?
The light behind my speedometer and all the other dials has stopped working. I'm no electrician and just wondering how to sort it. I'm guessing its just a fuse that needs changing (as i think the lights behind my heating dials have stopped working too) but as I have no handbook/can't...
I had a go at fitting the angel eye headlights at the weekend. Headlights are all working fine.
Here is the problem i need help with:

Discovered something interesting today, the interior footwell lights in my car were very dull, to the stage they were almost useless (the lights that come on when you open the door, not the dash).
I bought some LED's to replace them so I could brighten up the interior of the car at...
I want to change my headlights in my mk1 1997 but i have electric adjusting headlights, the retaining rings i have don't fit. its like one of the holes should be on the other side for my lights... does anyone have a link to the ones i would need or can tell me where to get them?
Fancy some LED lighting around the car, specifically thinking rear numberplate lights, front side lights, front indicators and side repeaters.
I assume you can get direct LED replacements for automotive bulbs? What about de-tango'ing at the same time? Do they do white LEDs that light up orange...
Hello guys, i hope you can help.

I drove it for a week (covered 100 miles) in the daytime and everything was...
