Hello all. I have a British Racing Green Eunos Roadster. About 10 years ago I had a green mohair hood made / ordered from a quality hood manufacturer. Its been fantastic and still looks new. Sadly inside its as black as night. Typical. Its so dark with the hood up and a black roof a couple of...
  4. Problems
Having owned my MK1 for nearly a year now, I've just noticed that the vinyl hood has come away from the frame rails above the centre of both windows (see image below): My question is whether this is meant to be like this? It doesn't leak when driving in the wet or being hand or jet-washed. I...

Hey guys, New to the forum. I'm driving my mum's Mk2 MX5 at the moment and the hood has to go. I use it from time to time but now that I've got it for a bit longer I thought I'd do her a favour and replace it altogether. It's a tan OEM hood with a heated rear windscreen but given the car is...

Hi everybody, I bought mk3 mx5 with cracked soft top. Could you tell me how hard is to replace it ( I would buy complete second hand soft top). I wonder if it's possible to replace it on my own. Any tips would be nice :)

OK, I've been googling and searching on here but can't find any help for a mk2.5 re checking or refitting of drain pipes, has anyone had to do this? Situation is that with all the shit weather and the car being a DD I got a blocked set of drains on my passenger side (everything clear on the...

The hood on our 5 has started to tear at the bottom from, where the B pillar would be if this was a roofed car. Nothing major at the moment, it's on both sides of the hood and I guess just due to wear (should just leave it down!) Anyone have a solution to stop this getting worse? softening the...

Hi all new to this forum My Mk1 1998 is in need of a new or second hand soft top hood in black. Have seen them advertised from between £130 to £240 for the basic Vinyl with either the zip out back window or non zip out window. My problem is I have to get the top over to Spain where my car is...
  11. Forced Induction & N/A Power Mods
During my first few months of 5 ownership I purchased a 4 in 1 from a guy breaking a car. All I knew was that this was not an off the self one. I had plans to fit it but they never materialised. A few months after that I found out about the mini charger project and I started collecting parts...
  12. Exterior
Hi everyone, I've got a few small tears at the side of my vinyl hood which allow water to build up in the seals and then leak down onto the carpets and seats. I'm currently using duct tape to temporarily sort it until I can find a decent hardtop, however after noticing that Moss are doing a...

I fitted a used hood a couple of weeks ago, and the sides don't really get tight when the hood is up. There is a gap between the body of the car and the hood, and a bit of wrinkling too. I can try and get a pic if it helps. The back isn't too bad, it's just the sides! Has anybody else had this...

When you take your roof down do you unzip and then drop the roof! Having a roll bar it's a bit of a pain trying to zip and unzip. I was thinking of a glass back but I don't think it will work with the roll bar.
