So I've just gone and bought a 600 honda hornet.
Had a long ride yesterday afternoon and ended up breaking down due to a bolt falling off!
The bolt in question is the gear lever pivot bolt.
I got a generic bolt from the AA which got me the last five miles home but I can't seem to find a genuine bolt anywhere.
So people, where might I find a replacement?
Ideally I'd like an illustrated parts catalogue for the whole bike too.
Could I get away with using some generic washers and a bolt tightened to a certain torque?

I wouldn't mind paying for a genuine part if that is what would be best, for that would I have to go through Honda themselves?

This is my first big bike so I'm only at the start of this exciting journey :D

Every piece of help and advice would be awesome. Thanks.

Phone your local Honda bike dealer or a big dealership like Doble and speak to the parts department and they will post one out to you.

This is a good place to start if you have a Honda. If you can't find it, just phone them. I've been using them for 20yrs...
