Hi all,

I've performed a number of oil changes over the years and not once had anything on the oil plug - I guess that's only a good thing to report, but just wanted to check are they magnetic?

Looking for the next oil change or maybe changing to something like this:

I believe the size is m14 1.5

I have a Gold plug magnetic sump plug. its more expensive than that one but it is well made and has a very strong magnet on it.

No the Mazda ones aren't magnetic I don't think (at least I've never had one) it can't hurt but won't pick up everything because there's lots of non ferrous metals such as the pistons & bearings that will be wearing but not get picked up.
