That will have been eaten by the engine then! if it's only foam it's not going to have done any damage apart from letting unfiltered air into the engine.

Yes, that is only foam...and fortunately enough, I didn't run the car into too dusty places for the past 7months...

subject of dust...

sandblasted a pair of front & rear top wishbones for my car, these are the lighter items from an early 5 and look to have suvived 30 years without  too much corrosion :)
lower wishbones are soaking in phosphoric acid solution for a few days before sandblast...

Thanks Blue! The engine oil cooler is in the bumper on the offside with a cowling that I have fab'd up. Will run a hose from the nostril on the bumper cover and one I've vented the top of the wing, the hot air should find its way :)

Installed my coolant re-root… Turns out an air-conditioning compressor bolt is the perfect length for the deep side of the Kia thermostat housing...

The nc is going due to the bosses ( wife ) failing back spent yesterday removing the double din stereo, the mx5 parts wind deflector and the smarttop device and the retrimed steering wheel it took nearly as long to take it out as it did to put it all in

Are those alloy or steel?

cast alloy centres welded to spun alloy rims (I believe, definately something along those lines  )

will know better when I've got them & given them a gentle sandblast
