Fixed..put it back together.. shut door and works.. must be some stupid frikin safety feature. So if you change reg dont test with door card off as door will be open and window will go down but not up...
If your a sadist buy reg without motor and when the spool explodes and the cables n spring fly off look forward to 2 hrs off fun attempting to put it back together and re tension it then re fit the motor.
2 pics shows 2 screws to remove door card then its just on plastic poppers you pull on like every other door card.
Once off. Black plastic panel..undo 10mm bolts unclip elec plug and access to reg. Very sum to mk1. X2 stops for window height adjustable . X4 14mm nuts holding in reg. X3 10mm nuts holding glass to reg.

Right back to the original and best mk1...shove yer mk4 safety shit up yer arse.e47faa452e44873ec336d0590190c234.jpgffa996105e0c8c9653d10f33243ba531.jpg

I must admit it nearly beat me...7 hours on a blimin window regulator. Ive fitted loads over the years and never come across a function when new that window goes down not up..unless door shut..cannot fathom out why. Must be something todo with the roof..but theres stops on the top of the door. I literally put door card on shut door and it worked. If id not tested with door card off id be none the wiser.
Owner /neighbour happy. I said 45 for part 35 for me....he gave me £100.00. So im happy to now.
