Fair warning, I'm very visual in a thread and not particularly wordsy.

About a month ago I bought something to try and mend the broken heart the emissions on the purple car left me with

48783247548_d692f9de1f_b.jpg

The paint job is pretty nasty but theres actually not an unreasonable amount of rust underneath

48783247698_579dd458ee_b.jpg

Dont let the pretty tips fool you like they did me, the exhaust looks better than its built

48783611076_da2e17ebb2_b.jpg

The driveway was pretty solid for a day or two though

48783858702_9dab7e5f8d_b.jpg

First and only bit of progress on this tonight, getting this hot air garbage away from it

Oh yeah, I'm also terrible at keeping these things updated. Expect long gaps between posts but a dump at a time

49221078748_de6524daea_b.jpg

Done some wiring in the boot

48783822567_cba1b7678e_b.jpg

Got the thing up on the ramp to take a look

48783692841_707641e385_b.jpg

Previously mentioned nasty exhaust

48783609126_68cb515fa6_b.jpg

Roll bar in

48783329023_62b99f59b7_b.jpg

Fire extinguisher and subs in

48783816467_9e4992cd3c_b.jpg

48783611151_9909e19dd7_b.jpg

49221078668_3be91c7375_b.jpg

Started making a switch panel

49221781352_9a28864057_b.jpg

Bought a set of these

48783289328_c7dd6bf88c_b.jpg

Installed my projector headlights and googly eyes

48783331288_36a81b0930_b.jpg

By the time I'd got it high enough to get over the speed bump at work reasonably the wheels and tyres looked dumb

48783331343_38a82cc696_b.jpg

So I got a set of universal ebay arches the entire internet loves to hate

48799599263_4d8d70c0d2_b.jpg

Took a spare set of wheels to work because I was convinced I could fit 235/50/15 under there, tyre man said I was being unreasonable if I wanted suspension travel or steering

49221078803_ac9ee950f7_b.jpg

Admitting defeat returning the tyres

48783659116_5e6008f5c5_b.jpg

Got the arches cut out and bolted on though

48783295983_f2d6b96ff9_b.jpg

Needs meatier tyres and maybe a spacer but it covers it all at least

49221078753_dfb97a2627_b.jpg

Turns out my kayak mounts will fit the roll bar

48783293418_d9853f8007_b.jpg

Switch panel mock up

48783822642_8c189d4937_b.jpg

Painted and in, it also gets rid of the strip of sunlight between the wink mirror and top of the windscreen

49221782197_5cf150d9c1_b.jpg

Parked up on setup day for Goodwood Revival

48783815457_6a9e7249bc_b.jpg

Sunstrip to hide the wires from the back of the switches

48783650401_f107c9fed9_b.jpg

All sorts of wires

49221785967_3096246b43_b.jpg

Got a wireless phone charger

49221781657_c4d5d30116_b.jpg

Used it for speakers at a friends farm party, amazingly it started itself up in the morning too

49221558876_c05ffff3a8_b.jpg

Dumb things with fireworks

49221783432_8cea337a8b_b.jpg

Tree down

49221075538_72cc669a56_b.jpg

Got a little go in the bosses 997.1 GT3RS

49221076848_1cbab29629_b.jpg

Quilted faux leather door cards and galaxy wrapped tops

49221074633_a874be56ee_b.jpg

Did round the crash pad too

So thats my camera roll between last post and now

Did a double-take at the ramps photo:  Your tardis garage looks a lot bigger on the inside. :D

What's the big switch panel for?

Wide angle camera is deceptive, but it’s a nice size for what I need

Left to right it’s: heated seat, window, window, heated seat, fan override, speakers off, headlight wink and lights for the googly eyes (not all of it is wired yet as I hate wiring)

I very nearly ended up going Plum Crazy on the last one, decided on Daytona Violet in the end and was never particularly happy with the outcome

Thanks! May grab one of those since it fits the vents, though i'd presume there would be others that don't offer charging, off to the amazon I go!

Out the box it doesn’t fit the vents, I’ve cut down the front of the vent and the where the charger is supposed to mount and expoxied one to the other. Works lovely now though

Hi my name is Dan and I'm bad at posting updates, have a bunch of things from my camera roll and my vague memory of what was going on at the time

49765120801_abeb6ebcc0_c.jpg

Came back and a pop up friend found it

49764588343_4a2b1d54b8_c.jpg

Let the girlfriend drive

49765121026_db63949f08_c.jpg

Wants another coat or two and some sealer

49765447802_5e206c9465_c.jpg

Oh yay, a diff swap
