Evening folks, first post just enquiring about touching up montego blue on mk1, got a hardtop and there's the expected chipping around the edges. Want to get it looking nice and clean and from all the posts I've found online it seems that m8 isn't too accurate. Came here to see if anyone has experience with this and if they've found an accurate colour code! Am I being too picky for simple chip repairs?

Cheers in advance all!

You can't get Montego blue touch up paint from Mazda anymore. I got some two pack that was left over from some paintwork that I had done. I'm pretty sure you can get small batches mixed.

The code is M8 and I got a spray can from MX5Parts a couple of years back. I think they might still mix you up some.

I took the petrol filler cap to a specialist auto paint company for a colour match,

I think they use a spectroscope to get the colour right.

I had single pack made up for my car. ( Its for Industrial use Honest !!!! )

I have two cars in M8 at the moment.
