Timely too as I was pondering the empty speaker sockets in my seat headrests just yesterday. And it helps explain the random wiring issue that plagues Mk.1 headrest speakers. I'd had my first Mk.1 for ages before I even knew it had headrest speakers. My wife kept claiming she could hear audio from behind her, but I pointed out there were no speakers on the rear shelf. She's 5'3" and I'm 6'1" so the miswired speakers were making tinny noises next to her ears but firing uselessly at my shoulders.
