Although I thought I'd be able to book it in later this year in a slightly more leisurely fashion, my MK1 now needs the dreaded sill repair doing with some urgency as its failed its MOT. In all honesty I reckon the tester was a bit overzealous when probing it for corrosion, but here we are all the same.

Can anybody personally recommend a good place to take it in the north west, preferably as close to Bolton / Manchester as possible?

Having seen some of the work done by so-called 'specialists' in the not too distant past I'd rather just find someone who's going to do it properly.

I would also be interested, as my go to guy for anything MX5 related has recently given up doing bodywork. Finding someone you can trust is very difficult, especially for bodywork.

Given your location I think its the same guy.

Going to visit a few in the area so I'll let you know who I go with - first visit today went pretty well, although the first thing he said was that it shouldn't have failed in the first place!

Thank you, I would appreciate that.
