Vvt In 1998 Nb, Fuel System Question

09 August 2020 - 07:33 PM

I just chucked a 1.8 VVT into my 1998 NB, selling the old 1.6. Mechanically all is OK, electrically it is a nightmare since I'm wiring in an alternative ECU as well, but I won't bother you with that. I have some parts of the VVT engine's fuel system, but no piping / hoses so I don't know how it would connect. Here's what I think it should be:

Where the red line is the feed ( fuel coming in), the blue one the return line and the yellow (T-ing off between the fuel coming in and the regulator) going to the engine, to the fuel rail. The rail has a damper on the end, not a regulator.

Am I thinking the right direction? I doubt about the pressure and return side on the car's lines, but I've googled so much I have found all versions.

How To Attach Rear Cross Brake Hard Line?

27 December 2019 - 05:29 PM

I'm changing changing and refreshing the brakes on my car and I found a lot wrong. The worst part is a bodged hard line from the right hand rear wheel to the left. It was made and fitted obviously by a blind mule, there were two hard bends in it which closed the inner tube not letting fluid through. It does explain the left hand rear brake failing. Now I made  a new hard line, but where does it attach to? The old one was just floating in mid air around the rear subframe, only being held in place by the ends. isn't is supposed to be clipped to something somewhere?
