I just chucked a 1.8 VVT into my 1998 NB, selling the old 1.6. Mechanically all is OK, electrically it is a nightmare since I'm wiring in an alternative ECU as well, but I won't bother you with that. I have some parts of the VVT engine's fuel system, but no piping / hoses so I don't know how it would connect. Here's what I think it should be:
Where the red line is the feed ( fuel coming in), the blue one the return line and the yellow (T-ing off between the fuel coming in and the regulator) going to the engine, to the fuel rail. The rail has a damper on the end, not a regulator.
Am I thinking the right direction? I doubt about the pressure and return side on the car's lines, but I've googled so much I have found all versions.
