Tuning Idle Valve - MegaSquirt/MegaSquirtPnP

Tuning the MS1 idle valve is stupidly easy, copy the settings provided by DIYAutoTune for their MSPnP

Link to the DIY Settings

The MS1 closed loop idle code is a pig to tune, I messed with it for months with no satisfactory results and then gave control back to the OEM ECU in frustration, it wasn't unitl DIYAT came along and worked it all out that I gave Idle control back to my MS1 :)

There are a few tips you can use though, firstly make sure all the fuelling is 100% as per the 'Idle Tuning Guide'.

If you're suffering stalls from the revs dropping too low, try raising the 'Minimum (DC) settings this will stop the idle valve from closing as much.

You want also watnt to ensure that the balance between the bleed screw and the idle valve is correct, so ensure tyour car is nice and hot, then make sure you have a guage on your dashboard for 'IdleDC', then adjust the bleed screw until the IdleDC is 1 or 2 points higher than your specificed 'MinimumDC'

Other than that there's not a lot else you want to touch really!
