Just wanted to say hi to everyone, last week I sold my Westfield Seight 3.9ltr V8 after 4 yrs of ownership and a few trackdays. I loved my Westfield , it was bloody quick and sounded fab , but it just didnt get used enough, last year I was either busy or it was pissing down. so I only managed 500 miles in a year. my other hobby is photography , but if it was raining at the weekend and I took our normal car the mrs had no wheels and the Westfield sat in the garage so I decided to sell .
I wanted a fun sports car that was more usable, last week I found and bought an 04 S-VT sport with only 33000 miles on the clock, 3 owners and full service history.

After only a weeks ownership Im in love, the roof is amazing , the westfield used to be a 20 minute job but the MX is seconds. the handling is lovely. seems to grip really well through the twisty stuff. I now have a boot I can get stuff in, and my bum will be warm in the winter with my heated leather :)

Yes I'll miss the rawness and power of my Westfield but I really can see why you guys love your MX5's they are a fab car. I toyed with an MR2 ( no stowage space, and mrs didnt like) BMW Z3 ( liked but only found ones with big engines that I liked, been there done that) Mercedes SLK, (saw a few I liked but just not sporty enough.)

Looking forward to a summer of driving fun and looking forward to meeting some of you at future meets :)

Similar story here. My 7 classicSE spent most of it's time in the garage during the last year I had it, and the occasions I took female passengers out in it they spent most of the time yelling at me to slow down. It was a total blast to drive but left you completely wrung out after every 'spirited' run. On my second NA and it provides me with the same feeling of being an 'event' as the 7 when I get in it and the handling is completely predictable and enjoyable. It also thrives having it's head kicked in!!! They do tend to get under your skin

Yeah the Westfield was definatley a good weather car which has been a pain these last few years with our crappy summers, I took the MX to a mates today. he also has a 7 style kit car, he took the MX out for a spin and came back with a big grin on his face :) he loved it and said it does everything brilliantly. he now wants his wife to get one (so he can keep borrowing it) :)
