Thought it was time i said hello!!!

Only joined the forum early last week, id been toying with getting another toy but wanted somthing totally diffrent from my last car which was a 500bhp audi s4...

Posted Image

Dyno'd at 497 bhp and 540 lbft, was an absolute missile in a straight line and handled well for a car weighing 1600kg...

So my criteria was light turbo'd and rear wheel drive.... i used to have a 330bhp 200sx before the audi so that was kind of out the window, i scanned pistonheads looking at r33 skylines, mr2 turbos you know the usual, then stumbled across a turbo mx5 on there which then led me to here! then i was hooked and had to have one  .

So here it is :

Im sure most of you know the specs and what not so i wont bore you with that, but i absolutly love it, tottaly diffrent beast to the audi nowhere near as fast oviesly but makes up for it in the corners. Spent most of sunday driving round with the roof down cos i could :D

Theres a few minor issues like some catching on the front from the wheels, and the speedo reads way out lol.

All it needs is that bit extra punch in a straight line but some bigger injectors and a remap should sort that

Wow love the Audi, very understated!

And the Mx of course! Got any other plans with it for the future?

I'm curious as to when you bought this? I was going to collect it last Saturday, took out a second insurance policy for it and was then postponed until this weekend at the last minute! Nice to find out the car you were buying has sold and your still being told by the seller that he's going to let you know when you can collect it.

unless you paid a deposit then there's not much point worrying about it, he's not obliged to do anything unless he has something in his hand money wise. I would never arrange insurance etc without handing over a deposit, it's asking for trouble really.
hindsight is a wonderful thing though ;/

That's the thing I offered to pay a deposit and he politely declined, the day before the arranged collection date I took insurance cover out, at 10.15 on the night he post-poned me. Just gutted really! And £120 worse off.

Anyway shobe hope you enjoy the car!

sorry for the late reply. been working away..... I collected it on the same saturday as you where planning to, drove from manchester to london for it. The seller wasnt convinced i was going to turn up and was probably keeping you interested just incase, sorry you missed out but dan ( the seller ) seemed a genuine guy and probably didnt mean to mess you about.
