Other than the topic label, the effective lift of the gear knob with these extenders is 2''. The length of the 1 batch was 3'', therefore the label.

The extenders were enhanced in the second batch and extended with "collar" below the bottom thread, that reaches the wider part of the shifter.
The end result: the extender fully integrates, as it hides under the gaiter :driving: .

Additional to these 2 (only) adapters are available from 10x1.25 (MX5 standard) to 10x1.5 thread. They are made as short as possible, priced at 10 delivered.

This turned up today. It fitted fine and does the job, reducing the reach to the lever from the wheel and increasing shift throw correspondingly. Pic of it in place here http://dl.dropbox.co...72/IMG_0298.JPG

I actually really like driving with it! Throws require less effort but more travel, suits me down to the ground. Cheers Vlad!

Cheers for the feedback and pics, guys! :thumb-up:

Was the black colour the better choice? I might do some shiny ones if someone has interest.
Will do an adapter from 1.25 to 1.5 thread as well.

Next batch is ordered now.

I personally like the black finish as it blends in with the rest of the gear lever, although what you could to is have the bottom section (where the thread is inside) and extend the shroud so to speak, so that it covers more of the gear lever thread, so that it blends in even more? Thats just a cosmetic comment but functionally it is spot on!

Agree with comments above, shift throw is longer but the gear lever falls to hand much easier. I think it would be best matched with a short shift but it's very good as is :)

I was thinking about the same after seing your pictures. The problem might be, that I wanted them as thin as possible and had to even sacrifice the side notch for it. Should check if there is meat left to pull it down a bit more. We are speaking about 15-20mm from what I see from the pics.
