Hi guys,

I was on the lookout for some new hoses thinking my current ones weren't up to the job. Iíve got an M45 coldside and almost all of the elbows for my intercooler collapse and pop back out again at various times.

Anyone else had this problem? Could my dual throttle bodies be causing/help fix the problem?

Cheers

An old friend of mine suffered similar problems from his intake hose on his cosworth (crazy engine build 650bhp running 45psi)

He had a set made up with a spiral spring in between the layers of silicone, cured it instantly.

You could always use some jubilee clips and some glue...

I did try lashing a load of zip ties around one to see if it would stop it deforming but it didnít make much difference, glue might help but I donít want to wreck the hoses!

The hoses seem OK in terms of quality I guess Ė I'm wondering why the vacuum is so strong on mine compared to others. Some sort of industrial strength elbow would avoid deforming but Iíd prefer to cure or lessen the vacuum!

As the artful bodger..I put some plastic drain pipe in side mine cut to shape.

stops the widest part of the hose colapsing and hasn't melted or sucked into my engine yet.

one still creaks a little.
