I've got it mate. Mine is a Mk2 1.8 with K&N Typhoon induction kit, and it sounds brilliant. Not too loud, not "boomy" at motorway speeds, not raspy either, just a bit more sporty and a bit deeper than standard. Lovely jubbly!
I've got short video clip here but the quality is a bit shit. Still, might give you an idea anyway. There's only wind noise at the start, but when I stop in front of the little tunnel at the traffic light you can hear the exhaust note briefly - and again when I turn around and go back
Quality of the backbox pukka as well, the only small problem is when fitting it the flange holes are slightly too small, so need drilling out (that is mentioned in all of the customer feedbacks though, so was not unexpected). However, I bought mine over a year ago so they might have sorted that issue by now. I got a mechanic mate to fit mine, so that was not really a problem for me...
At the special offer price it is a no-brainer I reckon
(Edit: Forgot to mention, it might be best to order the gasket at the same time, see here (that one is for the Mk2, not sure if the Mk1 is the same)

I remember reading somewhere that it is a bit quieter on the MK2 than the MK1, is that right?
