Does anyone here have the Stainless Steel exhaust? Whats it like? Does it sound any louder (without sounding like a rudy boy car) or does anyone have a vid so I can hear what its like?

Sorry for all the questions!

I've got it mate. Mine is a Mk2 1.8 with K&N Typhoon induction kit, and it sounds brilliant. Not too loud, not "boomy" at motorway speeds, not raspy either, just a bit more sporty and a bit deeper than standard. Lovely jubbly!

I've got short video clip here but the quality is a bit shit. Still, might give you an idea anyway. There's only wind noise at the start, but when I stop in front of the little tunnel at the traffic light you can hear the exhaust note briefly - and again when I turn around and go back :P

Quality of the backbox pukka as well, the only small problem is when fitting it the flange holes are slightly too small, so need drilling out (that is mentioned in all of the customer feedbacks though, so was not unexpected). However, I bought mine over a year ago so they might have sorted that issue by now. I got a mechanic mate to fit mine, so that was not really a problem for me...

At the special offer price it is a no-brainer I reckon :thumb-up:

(Edit: Forgot to mention, it might be best to order the gasket at the same time, see here (that one is for the Mk2, not sure if the Mk1 is the same)

I remember reading somewhere that it is a bit quieter on the MK2 than the MK1, is that right?

Looks a great price :) but does anyone have a picture fitted by any chance? Its says 90mm tailpipe, can't stand these huge 'zorsts but maybe 90mm dual skinned doesn't look OTT? Had a 2" pipe (50mm) on my MK1 Golf GTI and it looked perfect, 75mm is the diameter of a heinz baked bean can so wondering what the 90mm is like in the flesh?

That is a cracking price.....Very tempted.

I presume it is a larger bore than the std exhaust, so is it suitable for a turbocharged car?
