Hi

I recently installed a chrome 4 point mazdaspeed roll bar and i have a few issues i'll list down below:

1. My hardtop is touching the roll bar at the corners and rubs causing paint to rub of the hardtop

2. It also rubs on my soft top as well

3. I also can't latch my side latches as the hardtop is touching the bar and if i latch the side latches my hardtop will break :(

It would be great if someone would give me some advice and pics showing their hardtop and roll bar mounted together and showing me pics of your installation (because i may have got it wrong, but it bolted up fine)

Thanks  :)

I have mine fitted with the hardtop, it does touch the roof at the corners, but had no trouble latching it at the sides, did have to adjust the clips slightly though

Thanks for your reply SiCaln, I also had to adjust my latches a lot but if i latched my side latches (on the lowest setting) the hardtop will start to make cracking noises and the latch didn't even go on the striker at first

This is probably no help whatsoever but I had a Mazdaspeed chrome bar in my last NA a few years back and that slightly rubbed on the soft top as well. Never did any damage though in the time I had it.

Won't some strips of bicycle repair rubber help?

Beware the imbecile you did not bargain for. Perhaps in a Zafira  at Tesco waiting to self combust.

Thanks for the replies, my roll bar also does rub on the soft top but i have seen many people with this roll bar using a hardtop and no issues were ever pointed out

This bar was fitted to mine when I bought her, no issues with softy...

Sounds obvious but check it can't sit any lower? (Too many washers or something?)

Thanks Rocky eunos for your reply, i have removed some washers and it didn't help much so i'll be buying some longer bolts and fitting those and see if that will bring it lower.
