Details
Japfest is at Silverstone this year, which means more space for trade stands, more club stand space, more track time and oh yeah, CAMPING! woooo

**There will be some important details when it comes to booking tickets, DO NOT purchase public tickets for a club stand, as these will not be valid.**
Ticket sales this year are direct from the Japfest website via the club section:-
http://www.japfest.c...k/club-tickets

You will need to select "combustionpunks / MX5Nutz" as your club name, and enter the password of:-
111.129

This will not include any Warchest subsidies to help us get more show equipment, like flags, another gazebo, BBQ etc. So in order to get us moar awesome gear we will be offering an exclusive Japfest 'Punks Merch pack closer to the date! stay tuned for info, but until then... get your tickets bought!!!!

As always, there will be plenty to do at Japfest, with promises of the Retail Village being bigger and better than ever, track time and show and shine displays and of course, on site camping on the Saturday night! More info over on the Japfest site here: http://www.japfest.co.uk/

We will need lots of support from fellow members in making/ breaking the displays, so like flags and gazebo as well as parking Attendant (displaying/ directing vehicles) as well as chef (if you wanna bring your caming stove and feed a bunch of folk) there are so many badges to be earned and Japfest is the perfect show to earn yourself a couple!

club displays allowed on site from 6.30am, general public admission is from 9am
don't be late, have your hangers on show, be prepared to be directed into place, don't just Park up and leave. Please pay particular attention to any vehicles with track time displayed in their window, make sure you're not blocking them in!

we have also got more plans for the stand this year, with voting for featured cars on the stand and kudos to be won, here's a link...

If I was bringing a friend and both camping, would I need to buy 2 weekend camping tickets or just the one?
I know they need an individual club entry ticket each, but if were in the same tent do we need 2 tickets?

Thanks

We are very tempted to attend this year.

Did Japfest 2 last year at Rockingham but wasn't overly impressed with the layout of the show.

Should be much better at Silverstone!

If I want to enter my car into the club stand, do I just buy a club ticket and that allows entry too? Or do I have to buy a club stand then an entry one too? And if I'm bringing a friend, is that an additional entry ticket?
Thanks

Just got my ticket and tracktime!

I've not been to Japfest in my MX5 before, neither have I driven Silverstone. I can't wait.

I havent been on silverstone but my mate has been on in his naturally aspirated 5 and said he was very underwhelmed on the straights cuz they're too long for the car, if you have fi probably not so bad but if you're not, might get annoyed getting left behind.

Yeah Silverstone is rather dull with the width and run offs you do feel rather lost.
What circuit are they saying this year? Last year they were promising the grand prix circuit until the day when it became the national circuit. Nice and safe if it's your 1st track day , but most experienced drivers give it a miss.

That aside it was an excellent event last year.

Wouldn't mind knowing the answer to this too.

One car two people, one tent; is it one Club Weekend Ticket and one Club Show Entry Ticket?

Or two Club Weekend Tickets?

Thanks.:)

I bought camping tickets for me and two others and we will be attending in 2-3cars and 1-2tents depending.
I think camping tickets are per person and includes entry for both days (hence the price), and count for one tent and car in the paddock per ticket (if that makes sense, please correct me if I'm wrong), £2 extra per car you want to display instead of normal parking
